It’s Award Season!

The annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) is back this year, the star-studded event is the first to kick-off awards season in the next couple of weeks. Since the pandemic, this is the first in-person SAG ceremony.

A round-up of Winners

CODA took home the award for best film ensemble, it is the first film with a predominantly deaf cast to receive the award. CODA bagged a second award, Troy Kotsur won best supporting actor and delivered his speech using a sign-language interpreter.

‘Ted Lasso’ was named best comedy and ‘Succession’ won best drama series ensemble. Will Smith, Jessica Chastain, Ariana DeBose, Jason Sudeikis, Jean Smart, Michael Keaton and Kate Winslet also went on to win awards. The highlight of the moment was when Korean star Jung Ho-yeon won the award for best actress in a drama series and co-star Lee Jung-jae won the best actor in a drama series for the nail-biter TV show ‘Squid Game.’
