The Best Looks From Day 1 Of Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023

Ciao, Milano! The third leg of Fashion Week is officially underway in the Lombardy region of Italy and the first day was jam-packed with stunning shows, and it’s definitely one for the books. From Fendi to Alberta Ferretti and Roberto Cavalli the slew of shows that happened on Day 1 captured our hearts like no other.

Scroll below to see our favourite looks from Day 1 of MFW Spring/Summer 2023.

Alberta Ferretti

Feminine, sensual, and zesty, Ferretti’s runway was graced by dreamy chiffon, unexpected bright and pastel hues, and unorthodox shapes. Ferretti didn’t hold back on showcasing long, dramatic, and elegant dresses that fit the spring and summer mood.

Diesel

Diesel naturally kicked off their runway with distressed, washed, and unusual cut denim on full display. They surprised us with unexpected looks that played with camouflage, corsetry, tulle, dramatic chiffon, sunset hues, and frayed styles. The incorporation of different textures, designs, and colours had everything from edginess to retro vibes.

Fendi

Stunning us with a beautiful colour palette, Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway looks had a jolt of freshness and minimalism. The contrast between sleek and slouchy silhouettes steeped the collection with femininity and masculinity. From flared combat pants to ribbed knit dresses to flowy theatrical dresses, we loved Fendi’s effortless, chic looks.

Roberto Cavalli

From the signature leopard-print staples to 1940s glam, the Roberto Cavalli show was filled with gorgeous pieces. The collection highlighted experimental looks including leopard and tiger prints married with pineapple clipart patterns, but it also showcased stunning, deep v-neck and demure dresses. The whole show had looks that were unapologetic, bold, and feminine.

Onitsuka Tiger

Dotted with cool and effortless style, Onitsuka Tiger’s runway show embraced streetwear with elevated silhouettes. The lineup played with black and white hues that fit perfectly with their unfussy style. From track pants to blazers and hooded anoraks, the runway looks shimmered in crisp combos.
