Avoid fascinators

Weddings are laid thick with traditions, some of which are utterly nonsensical. In terms of fashion, an obvious example would be the fascinator or the wedding hat: two accessories that look ridiculous in any other context outside of weddings and Ascot. Hair accessories are far from dead in the water (although don’t even think about flower garlands); look for ribbons to tie a messy ponytail, use a headscarf à la Zadie Smith or try romantic yet nonchalant hair jewellery.
