It’s an emotive collection, finding inspiration from the disciplines of music, dance, and magic (“en scène” is French for “on stage”). Chaumet en Scène comprises 38 exquisite pieces, showcasing majestic gems in a riot of colours. Also, each gem was meticulously hand-picked for their sheer beauty and the emotions they ignite. Picture this: A radiant series of Mozambique rubies neatly arranged into an incandescent quintet, lighting up the neckline with a tantalising allure (as seen on the Illusion necklace). Or, a pure 10.18-carat D-FL IIA type diamond, set in an oval cut, resting on the gorgeous Voltige transformable necklace. Elsewhere, imagine an impressive 10.76-carat Colombian emerald, portrayed beautifully on the intricately crafted Score ring, invoking an irresistible desire.

Scene 1: Let The Music Play

Emeralds take centrestage in the Score parure, as seen in this high jewellery necklace, watch and ring, from Chaumet.

Each artistic discipline that plays muse to the collection is represented by a series of parures. Consequently, three parures are created as a tribute to music. Firstly, the Score parure presents a trio of sapphire, diamond and—the star of this set—emerald. Here, the gems are suffused with a sense of tension and movement. This selection includes a high jewellery necklace, earrings, the previously mentioned ring and a watch with a visually hypnotic mosaic dial.

Meanwhile, the Harmony parure highlights a duet between sapphires and diamonds. It is best represented by the most expensive piece in all of the collection, the Harmony transformable necklace. Complete with a complex setting of 700 bezel and 2,800 claw settings to hold the blue sapphires and diamonds embracing the neckline.

Scene 2: Dance Your Heart Out

Onwards, music then makes way for dance, the next scene within the Chaumet en Scène performance. Thus, precious stones are treated like performers within a series of choreographies, narrated through three dance disciplines. It starts with the Ballet parure, made up of a ring, earrings, a watch and a stunning sculptural necklace. Each piece is formed by a fully articulated series of white gold spirals adorned with sapphires and diamonds.

The Tango high jewellery selection is easily the most vibrant, featuring rubellites and tourmalines that lend their energy to sparkling diamonds.

On the other hand, the Tango parure, much like its namesake inspiration, is undoubtedly the most vibrant from the entire collection. Here, rubellites and tourmalines follow one another in alternating pear and cushion cuts. The pieces here—a necklace, chandelier earrings, two rings and two watches—share an affinity for a spiral structure, evoking sensuous twirls. Additionally, the necklace impresses with a breath-taking pear-shaped greenish blue tourmaline of 46.39 carats.

Custom-cut onyx appear to dance in motion with diamonds in the Swing parure, further accentuated by purple sapphires.

Last but not least, Swing closes the dance set. This jewellery series features white gold bands punctuated with custom cut onyx strips as nods to jazz music, while purplish sapphires add visual accents..

Scene 3: Let There Be Magic

The Voltige high jewellery selection includes a Chaumet signature, the tiara, as well as an exquisite cocktail ring, earrings and necklace.

For its homage to magic, the third scene of this collection begins with Voltige. In essence, Voltige is designed to be visually light by way of an interplay of angled, twisted and flat lines. This parure presents a multi-tiered tiara—a Chaumet signature—a necklace, fully articulated transformable earrings, a cocktail ring and an exquisite timepiece, all dressed in diamonds.

Next, we have the Illusion set, undeniably a truly captivating selection of jewels. Where a necklace, ring and earrings of Mozambique rubies and diamonds are designed to invite optical intrigue.

Diamonds and pearls define the Trompe-l’œil high jewellery parure.

Eventually, we come to the Trompe-l’œil parure. This parure is a truly magical set, as it surprises with its embrace of natural pearls. Specifically, the pearls are composed with pear-shape diamonds clustered together to give the illusion of one single stone.

Together, the Chaumet en Scène high jewellery pieces captivate like a virtuoso performance that speaks to the Maison’s artistic heritage and unparalleled jewellery-making skills.
