Despite the Tambour being its mainstay and signature timepieces, the Maison is pushing their creative boundaries by revamping its watches division with the Louis Vuitton Escale collection — time-only watches that reinforce the Maison’s heritage and values within the fine watchmaking world.

History of The Watch
Inspired by their unparalleled savoir-faire in trunkmaking, the Louis Vuitton Escale are watches that perpetuate the Maison’s tradition of travel. Coming of age, sophisticated and beautiful, the new collection sees a new cartography — a time-only, three-hand model for the first time in a decade.
The Design
After a decade of its release, the Maison has revolutionised the collection by adding four new models to the family. Designed for everyday use, expect to fall in love with their rose gold and platinum variations that exude different silhouettes. But, best believe, all of the pieces are more sophisticated than ever, making it a fitting watch for any kind of palate.
You’ll also notice right away that the finishes and details of the new Escale collections are more refined and elevated than before; decorated with highly textured and tactile surfaces. But, despite all of this, the watches’ movement still comes from the rich terrain of traditional Swiss horlogerie.
Despite being rendered with an evolved aesthetic, the watches still have lugs that make continuous allusion to the iconic trunks of the Maison. The angled form and riveted exterior of the brass brackets and corners of the watches were crafted to reinforce the silhouette of the iconic Louis Vuitton trunks.
Reinforcing precision and modern aesthetics, the watches are powered by chronometer-certified cal. LFT023 — the same one used in the Tambour — whose 50-hour power reserve is assured by energy-efficient solutions. Complementing that is the tip of the second hand, which has been shaped to follow the curve of the dial — minimising the possibility of parallax error.
Proving its maturity, the watch also sees light play across the faceted hour indexes and along the groove dividing the central dial and the minutes, guiding the eye over the stunning textures and finishes that showcase the philosophy that lies at the heart of Louis Vuitton — the art of travel.
