Play Hide-And-Seek with the Nature Sauvage High Jewellery Collection by Cartier

Cartier lets our imagination run wild with high jewellery creations that narrate unique tales from the animal kingdom, all in the most dazzling fashion.

The Amphista necklace hides two symmetrical serpents in its design.

Cartier has always been the kind of jeweller that’s very serious about craftsmanship and quality, but also enjoys a bit of fun with design. Nails and screw heads inspire iconic bracelets. Elsewhere, an army tank informs the design of a watch. Even with high jewellery, in a previous Indomptables de Cartier watch series, the bracelet is one part sparkly panther head, the other part bejewelled crocodile head.

Now, in the jeweller’s new high jewellery collection, Nature Sauvage, Cartier continues to entertain. With designs that maybe viewed as whimsical but in truth, are actually cerebral and innovative.

The exhilarating collection opens like a theatre of apparitions, presenting a sparkling menagerie of precious creatures to dazzle, intrigue and, naturally, accessorise. From necklaces to brooches, each piece narrates a unique tale, their stories encapsulated in gold and gemstone brilliance.

Creature Features

True, the playful undertones of this collection are unapologetically fun, but always, always sophisticated in their execution. So creatures emerge where you least expect them, breaking free from traditional designs to traverse new territories of style. A pixelated diamond necklace festooned with Colombian emeralds unveil symmetrical serpents caressing your neck. A pendant that appears to mimic the Chrysler building actually owes its Art Deco motifs to a small beetle hidden in the back of the necklace. An abstract pendant necklace that holds an imposing 71.90-carat rubellite camouflages a whimsical turtle within its design. Then, when separated, the turtle becomes the cutest of brooches. Nature Sauvage is not just jewellery—it’s a game of hide-and-seek, Cartier style!

Nonetheless, even when they’re not being cute, the Nature Sauvage pieces remain majestic. The Tatsu necklace depicts a Chinese dragon with intricate scales that demonstrate Cartier’s impeccable and precise savoir-faire. Elsewhere, the Scutellia ring reexamines the geometry and rhythm found in crocodile skin to create an architectural ring with a 3.48-carat D IF Type IIa diamond.

Truly captivating, Nature Sauvage is a collection that roars with imagination and innovation.
