TAG Heuer defines luck and prosperity in a luxurious limited edition Carrera Chronograph dedicated to the Year of the Rabbit.
TAG Heuer is hoping to bring us an abundance of luck in the sharpest of styles with the limited edition TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Year of the Rabbit timepiece. Naturally, the stunning watch is modelled after the popular 44 mm TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph. It boasts an elegant steel case, complemented by a deep black ceramic fixed bezel and a custom-designed dial. A festive touch comes courtesy of red and gold accents, a colour combo symbolic of the Lunar New Year.
It’s In The Details
But the beauty truly is in the details here. For the first time ever, the black dial features printed lines illustrative of a rabbit’s fur. Better still, the case back features a rabbit printed in red right at the centre of the sapphire glass. (And it looks so adorable with its floppy ear!).
Obviously, the timepiece follows the DNA of the Carrera: the dial carries three chronograph sub-counters in black azure. The sub-counters at 3 and 9 o’clock stand out with their structured concentric lines. It creates a beautiful visual contrast against the “furry” background.
Much like the chronograph and seconds hands, the indexes and hours and minutes hands are 18K 5N rose gold plated. Accents in dark red lacquer are applied for a measure of sophistication.
Meanwhile, for its technical specs, this celebratory timepiece is powered by the Calibre Heuer 02 Automatic. The movement delivers an 80-hour power reserve, as well as timekeeping precision and performance courtesy of its vertical clutch and column wheel. Additionally, the watch is water resistant to 100 metres and is fitted with a smooth black calfskin strap with contrasting beige stitching.
The words “One of 500” is engraved into the case back to signify its limited edition status. As a bonus, The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Year of the Rabbit comes in a special deep red box thus making it perfect for gifting, or as a special collector’s item. Of course, the lid of the box is marked by the TAG Heuer shield in gold. Right next to a print of the same red rabbit from the watch’s case back.
