Known as Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry—the book adaptation of Rachel Reid’s Game Changer series—he has blown up as one of the most-watched and rising stars of the year.

For those who aren’t aware of this intoxicating show, it’s a romance tale about two notoriously famous hockey players who catch themselves in a forbidden romance that’s filled with yearning, spice and emotional depth.

He’s an actor, writer and director 

He graduated from the Film Arts program at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada, in 2020. Since then, he’s appeared in television series such as Allegiance and Tracker, but nothing as big as Heated Rivalry. But, he’s also a writer, producer and director for certain films such as Rancid and Buttons

He likes Korean skincare 

Based on an interview with Much Music, his co-star Connor Storrie revealed that he takes the longest time to get ready, always carrying at least two ziplock bags worth of skincare.

He has a matching tattoo with his co-star

He and Connor Storrie have a matching tattoo that says “sex sells”. Connor has it on his shin, while Hudson has it on his upper thigh. The wording is a cheeky homage to their internationally famous TV series, which is all about love and sex. 

His guilty pleasure is cerebral art films

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hudson enthused that he loves cerebral art films—“It’s just sort of what I naturally gravitate towards.”
