Bridging Cultures at the Bon Odori Festival

Immerse yourselves in the Bon Odori festival coming this Saturday, June 23 at Kompleks Sukan Negara Shah Alam. 2016 marks the 40th anniversary of the Japanese festival, a festival started in the late 70’s by the Japanese expatriate community in Malaysia as a way to immerse their children in the Japanese culture while living abroad. What has started from a small an intimate festival has grown to what is today, a promotion of the Japanese culture in our Malaysian society.
