Orked
Did someone say ice cream sandwiches and brioche-based sandwiches? We’re sold.
Shah Alam is brimming with new cafes, and Orked has gracefully joined the coffee hub destination. With coffee sourced from One Half Roastery, trust that this place will be your designated spot for coffee breaks after a long day. On the menu, you can find beverages such as coffee, mocha, matcha and chai. For a quick bite, indulge in their savoury beef, salmon and egg sandwiches. Designated for all sweet tooths, be sure to try their Maritozzi and ice cream sandwiches.

Three Moku
Who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by beautiful greenery once in a while? Three Moku offers just that but with a side of cuppa and gelato. The latest artisanal plant shop allows customers to browse for a new plant companion while enjoying delicious iced beverages. We’d call this a haven for any green thumbs.

Shiratoya Cafe
Are you craving for a bite of daifuku? Head over to Shiratoya Cafe in Petaling Jaya. Curated by a Japanese wagashi chef in Malaysia, the cafe will spark your craving for everything sweet, from the daifuku delicacy with fresh cream to strawberry chocolate daifuku. To accompany your sweet treat, don’t miss out on ordering their matcha iced tea. You won’t regret it.

Yugen Coffee
Taman Connaught’s newest joint introduces caffeine coolers with a twist. Be prepared to order a glass of their Pandan Cap, consisting of coconut Americano with fluffy pandan cheese foam. For something unique, try their Tom-Yammy for a subtle taste of kaffir lime leaves. While you’re there, be sure to take home some of their delicious buns and cakes for a lovely afternoon treat at home.

Belly & Mel
Belly & Mel is the place to be in Mont Kiara. The newly opened cafe unites the best of both worlds: pastries and coffee. While this cosy yet inviting space may be an excellent spot for a coffee break, you’ll be surprised to see that their menu offers much more. You can also find intriguing main dishes, from Belly’s Oceanic Blast Pasta to Szechuan-spiced Duck Confit Risotto and Grilled Sea Bass with Century Egg Chili Ragu. Under their drink section, be sure to try their Camelia Yin Yong and Kumquat Suan Mei Tang if you’re feeling adventurous.
