Marini’s on 57 Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

This year, the multi-award winning venue celebrates a decade of good food, fine wine and great company.

Founded by Cavaliere Modesto Marini, Marini’s on 57 is Kuala Lumpur’s iconic rooftop destination comprising of a rooftop bar, lounge, and Italian contemporary restaurant. Sitting 876ft (267m) above sea level, it offers the closest view of the Petronas Twin Towers and panoramic views of the city.

Since its opening in June 2012, this luxury establishment has become a preferred address for numerous events and celebrations, as well as a beacon for international celebrities, tourists and socialites. Designed to offer guests a unique dining and sensory experience, Marini’s on 57 continues to make its mark as the finest hospitality and entertainment venue in Kuala Lumpur. “When we first started this culinary journey, it was to share my passion for food and my vision for a world-class venue with the Malaysian public and the world. In addition to that, I have made it a point to promote Italy in my life and my work because it is a part of me. I believe that food is love and my love for food has led me to where I am today,” said Cava liere Modesto, founder and owner of The Marini’s Group.

“It has been a rewarding experience on many different levels and we are grateful for the many relationships we have built with so many over the years. We would like to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to our guests, staff and partners for their support and look forward to sharing many more delightful moments together,” he added.

This significant 10-year milestone will see the establishment marking the occasion with festivities in October to do just that. The anniversary theme is Viva Marini and the line-up of activities includes:

  • A founder’s menu
  • A bartending competition
  • Bartender guest shifts
  • An anniversary party to end the October celebrations with a bang.

To showcase its fine contemporary Italian cuisine, the establishment is offering a tantalising 10-course Founder’s Menu at the Marini’s on 57 Restaurant. Guests will be able to savour reinterpretations of the 10 popular dishes which have been served over the years. This includes Pan-Seared Foie Gras. Hokkaido Scallops, Seared Cod Fish, a choice of pasta with lobster or truffles, and desserts. The Founder’s Menu will be available from 1 October 2022.

For cocktail lovers, look out for the Viva Marini Guest Shift Series which kicks off at the Marini’s on 57 Bar on 10 October 2022. The guest bartenders lined up are Rizal Junior, Bastien Michaud and Symphony Loo.

Marini’s on 57 is also looking to shake and stir things up in October with the Viva Marini Bartending Competition at the Marini’s on 57 Lounge. The top bartender will walk away with a cash prize of RM10,000 while second and third place will receive RM5,000 and RM3,000 respectively. Ten shortlisted finalists will present three original cocktails – two themed ones using certain spirits, and one open format cocktail – in a live event at the Marini’s on 57 Lounge on 14 November. A panel of judges will taste and vote to decide the winner of the Viva Marini Bartending Competition.

The Marini’s on 57 Viva Marini 10th Anniversary Party on 20 October is set to be big bash featuring guest deejay and Grammy Award nominee Timo Maas. The German deejay and producer returns to the Marini’s on 57 Bar to take over the decks for the night and will spin his brand of electronic dance music. Guests are encouraged to make reservations for the party which will start at 8pm.
