‘I Love LA’ is Renewed for Season 2 — Here’s What We Know

So what’s next for Maia, Tallulah, Charlie, Dylan and Alani?

Rachel Sennott’s ‘I Love LA’ series is making waves, and chaotically, for good reasons. If you haven’t jumped on the madness train for the HBO comedy-drama, then you need to get on it. The season finale just premiered and sets anticipation for what’s to come for the characters. Starring Rachel Sennott, Odessa A’zion, Josh Hutcherson, Jordan Firstman and True Whitaker, the series delves into the lives of a tight-knit group of friends who learn to navigate life, careers and friendships in Los Angeles.

It’s funny and chaotic, taking us into the “extremely online” world of Los Angeles social media and influencer culture. Apart from that, it also captures the real-life feeling of what adulting feels like, especially when you’re trying to “make it” in life, whether it’s relationships or careers.

What happened in the ‘I Love LA’ season one finale?

HBO Max

The season ends in true “I Love LA” fashion—chaos, drama and heartfelt moments. With Maia’s relationship with boyfriend Dylan (Josh Hutcherson) in shambles and with her being jobless, Maia’s only hope is to thrive as a talent manager for her influencer best friend Tallulah (played by Odessa A’zion). Especially after turning down a $380,000 job offer from her old boss, she’ll have to push Tallulah to the limits as far as business goes. With Charlie (Jordan Firstman) reuniting with his pop star client, Mimi Rush (played by Ayo Edebiri), as her official stylist, it definitely sets the tone for what’s to come in their relationship. However, it was also revealed that Dylan’s hook-up with his colleague Claire, while they’re on a break, will lead to more complications—is this the end for the couple? I guess we’ll just have to find out.
