‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Unveils New Cast Members including T.O.P

The global hit series ‘Squid Game just unveiled its surprising list of additional cast members that will be joining the second season.

Taken from a press statement, cast members and showrunners have gathered for their first table read. While we’ve been kept in the dark about the return of this global phenomenon, you will be blown away by this piece of news. The incredible list of new cast members include Big Bang T.O.P, Park Gyu-young and more. Additionally, the second season is expected to begin production later this year.

Directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game is a South Korean TV series about a group of financially struggling people who compete in a deadly game for a chance to win a huge cash prize. The games are based on childhood games but with a deadly twist. The contestants must use their wits and skills to survive each round, as failure means being eliminated permanently.

Park Gyu-young

Famed for playing in the popular Netflix series ‘Sweet Home’, Park Gyu-young will be appearing in ‘Squid Game’ season 2. Additionally, she will also be appearing in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Celebrity’.

Jo Yu-ri

Did you know that Jo Yu-ri is not just a singer but also an actress? She was also a member of the South Korean-Japanese girl group Iz*One.

Kang Ae-sim

As a well-regarded actress in theatre and musicals in Korea, Kang Ae-sim is known for her roles in the TV shows “Be Melodramatic” and Netflix’s “Move to Heaven”.

Lee David

Chances are you’ve seen him before in director Hwang’s film, ‘The Fortress‘, where he played a supporting role. It’s worth noting that he and Lee Jung-jae met during the production of ‘Svaha: The Sixth Finger’.

Lee Jin-uk

The actor has appeared in both seasons of Netflix’s series ‘Sweet Home’ and has gained recognition for his roles in various Korean dramas and films. He was also part of director Hwang’s successful movie, ‘Miss Granny’.

Choi Seung-hyun

Choi Seung-hyun or famously known as Big Bang’s T.O.P, makes it on the list for season two. The singer and actor have appeared in several Korean films and TV series, including ‘Tazza: The Hidden Card’ and ‘Commitment’.

Roh Jae-won

The actor debuted in 2021 and gained recognition for starring in ‘Missing Yoon’ and ‘Ditto’.

Won Ji-an

The actor made her incredible debut on the first season of the Netflix series ‘D.P.’
