On 19 April 2024, Taylor released her highly anticipated album, The Tortured Poets Department. In light of the album’s release, we have rounded up a few of the most memorable moments in Taylor’s career.

1) All Too Well short film
Starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien and Taylor herself, Taylor Swift released a short film based on the 10-minute version of her song All Too Well.
The film gives the audience a view into a couple’s relationship through an emotionally cinematic journey, encapsulating the different phases of their relationships. The song’s lyrics supplement the entire short film, visually giving the audience a further look into the little details that chipped into the downfall and moments after the end of their doomed relationship.
2) The Folklore love triangle
An album adored for its poetic flair and emotionally stirring lyrics, Taylor incorporates a storyline through music in her album Folklore, which has been subsequently dubbed The Folklore Love Triangle.
This story details the perspectives of teenagers James, Betty and Augustine, intertwined within a love triangle. In the album, three main songs Cardigan, Betty and August are dedicated to the individual perspectives of the teens while the remaining songs hold possibilities that weave into themes connecting to the central plot of the love triangle.
3) The Vault Tracks
Following the announcement of re-recording her albums, fans were in for a treat when Taylor revealed a list of previously unreleased songs from each album including Fearless, Red, 1989 and Speak Now.
4) The Eras Tour
Landing in countries all over the globe, The Eras Tour marked one of the biggest musical events of the past year. From surprise songs to guest stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Ice Spice and HAIM,the music-filled spectacle condensed an amalgamation of all of Taylor Swift’s eras, from her eponymous debut album Taylor Swift to Reputation and Midnights.
5) Musical Documentaries
In 2018, Taylor’s Reputation stadium tour hit the screens on Netflix, documenting her fifth concert tour, followed by the Eras tour on Disney+ earlier this year. The musical documentaries boast enthralling performances brimming with extravagant sets, costume changes and dance numbers that bring the concert experience to viewers in the comfort of their own homes.
