Give Supplies To Foodbanks
With all the panicked stockpiling taking place, foodbanks are struggling more than ever with their reserves (before you clear the shelves of hand sanitiser, remember the whole point is that other people need to wash their hands too to prevent spreading). Next time you’re shopping (sensibly, please) at the supermarket, consider purchasing some additional products for your local foodbank; and it’s not just food produce they want – they need essentials like toilet paper and hand soap, too. It’s worth keeping in mind that if you totally clear the shelves to fill your own cupboards, the supermarkets – who might typically drop off a big batch delivery – won’t be able to fulfil any of their regular donations, either.
