He’s playing Dean DiLaurentis in “Off Campus” 

The Canadian actor has stepped into one of the most talked-about roles of the moment: Dean DiLaurentis in the buzzed-about book adaptation, Off Campus. The show follows an elite ice hockey team at Briar University and the women in their lives as they navigate love, heartbreak and self-discovery.

Season 1 draws on the first book, The Deal, in which Garrett—Briar U’s star centre—enters into a tutoring arrangement with Hannah Wells, a music major with a complicated past, that quickly evolves into something neither of them saw coming. But the episodes will also showcase hints of Dean’s love story, based on Elle Kennedy’s book, The Score

He plays hockey

He’s the only person in the show who has real hockey experience—having played the sport his whole life, which makes sense for the Canadian.
