La Juiceria Superfoods recently launched a new plant-based menu, urging you to make a small change, with a big impact.
In the last couple of years, more people are looking for Vegan and Vegetarian options on the menu, some are even incorporating meatless days into their diet.
A flexitarian diet is increasingly popular, which means more are choosing meat-free or meat-reduced diets. The diet encourages you to choose plant-based options, without having to fully commit to being a Vegan or Vegetarian.
Healthy food is expensive!
It is important to be mindful of your health, and well-being. La Juiceria is changing the stigma of healthy food being expensive. They are doing their part by ensuring fair prices for all plant-based options. Whether you choose a normal café latte or the plant-based milk option, there won’t be a hefty price tag on the milk switch. Some of the changes La Juiceria have made are switching all dairy yoghurt to plant-based coconut yoghurt for all smoothies and removing extra charges for switching to plant-based milk in coffee.
“We aim to make eating healthy cool and sexy – just as we did since day 1 of La Juiceria. We’re hoping that the changes we take, the small decisions we make, even one meal at a time, can have a positive impact to our health and the planet.” – Anabelle Co-Martinent, Co-Founder of La Juiceria Superfoods.
The Phuture is here
La Juiceria teams up with Phuture foods, for an exciting Japanese-themed menu. Their new Katsu curry bowl is served with a meatless chicken katsu and vegetables. You can opt to have the meatless katsu curry with turmeric rice, turmeric rice and fluffy omelette or on a bed of greens.
Team Bazaar visited the La Juiceria Outlet in Nadi Bangsar, to try out the menu. This is the first time we tried Phuture foods. The katsu was crispy and juicy. It was full of flavour, the texture feels and taste like chicken. During the first few mouthfuls, you can’t even tell it’s meatless. The katsu is full of essential minerals, calcium, plant protein, potassium, iron and is high in plant fibre. The best thing about going meatless is that your meal contains no animal hormones, no animal antibiotics, no cholesterol, no trans-fat, and no artificial colouring.
Do check out the new menu at all La Juiceria Superfoods cafes (except for Superfoods KLCC outlet) .
