Must Watch: Billie Eilish’s Cinematic Concert Experience on Disney+

Mark your calendars for the 3rd of September, everyone! Grammy award-winning artist, Billie Eilish, will make her Disney+ debut with a cinematic concert experience called Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles. Filmed in the legendary Hollywood Bowl, the intimate performance will feature 16 tracks off her brand-new album, Happier than Ever.

As a seven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, the 19-year-old is one of the biggest stars to emerge in the 21st century. Celebrating the drop of her new album, Billie Eilish posted on Instagram with a caption saying, “This was the most fulfilling, most satisfying and profound experience I’ve ever had with my music. Finneas and I were just on cloud 9 making this album. I love every song on this project so, so much, it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to.”

The upcoming show is directed by Robert Rodriguez and by Oscar-winner Patrick Osborne and will take viewers on a dreamlike journey through Billie’s hometown of Los Angeles and its most iconic backdrops.  

 “We are all huge admirers of Billie and Finneas here in our household. They are such impressive, world-class talents that it’s a real honour to work with them on this film. The way the narrative story and animated pieces weave through her incredible concert performance, makes this a spectacular event that is truly unique,” says Robert.

 

 

Aside from the appearance of her brother and fellow singer-songwriter FINNEAS, the show will also see performances by Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, and world-renowned Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo, with Orchestra Arrangements by David Campbell.
