Kate Middleton And Prince William Just Met Royal Baby Archie

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finally met royal baby Archie, who was born last Monday. A source confirms to BAZAAR.com that Prince William and Duchess Kate visited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their home in Frogmore Cottage today to finally welcome their nephew in person.

“The visit took place after Harry returned from a day of engagements in Oxford,” royal correspondent Victoria Murphy tweeted today. Royal reporter Rebecca English added that William and Kate’s children were not present for the Archie meeting, “so it will be a little while yet before George, Charlotte and Louis meet their new cousin.”

The delay in meeting Archie was caused by the family’s busy schedules in the past week and over the weekend. Kate and William were booked with the launch of the King’s Cup regatta on Tuesday and a visit to North Wales on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Harry traveled to the Netherlands on Thursday.

Before meeting the little one, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were already sharing kind words about their nephew with the press. “It’s really exciting for both of them and we wish them all the best,” Kate said during the regatta launch last week.

William added that he’s “absolutely thrilled” over the arrival of Harry and Meghan’s baby and is “looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down.”

The queen and Prince Philip were the first to meet baby Archie among the royals. They were photographed with Harry, Meghan, and their little one last week, along with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
