A new season means new colours from Rimowa, and this Autumn/Winter it’s all about Nautical blue and Ginger yellow.
Scandinavian Hues
This season’s colours are derived from the Nordic region. In spite of their contrast, the two colours complement each other beautifully, much like night is to day. Nautical is a deep midnight blue, a sophisticated tone inspired by Scandinavian waters and the maritime spirit of the Nordics. Ginger is its warmer companion, a shade of yellow that recalls the historical architecture and interiors of Copenhagen.
Naturally, the two new hues colour the German luggage-maker’s Essential collection, with various size options to choose from. There’s the Cabin (RM4,300) for light travellers, or the Check-in L (RM5,400) and Trunk Plus (RM6,850) for longer trips. (And it must be added, the Essential collection comes with an unconditional lifetime guarantee). Artistic Collab
To coincide with the introduction of the new colours, Rimowa introduces its latest artistic partnership: the Rimowa Essential Cabin Threshold, designed in collaboration with artist Ptolemy Mann. It’s a collector's piece that merges Rimowa’s timeless craftsmanship with Mann’s celebrated chromatic minimalism.

Renowned for her textile artistry, Mann has translated her emotive interplay of colour and texture into a striking design. Though now, Rimowa's iconic polycarbonate shell in the Nautical hue serves as her canvas.
The project sees an exclusive iteration of her “Threshold” artwork printed on a portion of the Essential Cabin. Elsewhere, the suitcase’s interior also expresses Mann’s mastery of colour. Here, a blue-tinted brushstroke graces the Rimowa flex divider. Emotion is at the heart of this limited-edition piece, creating an artistic travel companion that speaks to the soul of every wanderer.
