On our trip to the restaurant earlier this month, the anticipation runs high as we dive into our culinary journey for brunch. As we settle into our seats, the first course arrives, revealing a vibrant colour on the plate when the Burrata is served. The smoothness and creaminess of the burrata sit atop a bed of juicy cherry tomatoes, balancing a sweetness and richness from the eggplant caponata drizzled with aged balsamic. Next, the Verde Salad arrives, a refreshing delight that awakens our palate. Crisp cucumber and velvety avocado are tossed with crunchy Marcona almonds, harmonised by a honey rosemary dressing that gives a sweet and aromatic note. When the Red Prawn Ceviche arrived, it was an invitation to savour the ocean. The prawns are marinated to perfection, mingling with delicate flavours of bronze fennel and Sicilian orange for a burst of citrus freshness.

Then, the main courses arrived, which offered a delightful transition to leave an unforgettable note on our visit. The Reginette Seafood Alfredo and Chicken Dominic steal the show. Hearty, creamy and rich, these two dishes pair so beautifully as a sharing plate if you’re into creamy dishes that are equally comforting and delicious. For a vibrant green touch, the broccolini graces the table, sauteed with bomba and calabrese to introduce a play of spice, while the lemon zest brightens the dish for a delightful balance to the savoury courses.

When it came to dessert, the restaurant continued to go above and beyond when it came to presentation and the abundance of flavours. The Pistachio cheesecake, rich and nutty, melts luxuriously in our mouths. If you’re into a coffee-based dessert, the LAVO Tiramisu should be on your list. Thanks to its layers of coffee-soaked goodness, the creamy mascarpone offers a delectable layer of sweetness with every bite. And the pièce de résistance? The signature 20 Layer Chocolate Cake. Infused with layers of rich chocolate devil’s food cake and creamy peanut butter mascarpone, each bite is a decadent embrace that will be almost impossible to resist another bite.
