Volvo Car Malaysia has collaborated with a local manufacturer to support and provide artisan masters the opportunity to earn a continuous income despite the pandemic.
Volvo's face masks are available in a set of 3 attractive designs, in various shades of blue. The face masks have been packed into specially commissioned box packaging made of FSC certified paper. Volvo Car Malaysia wanted to preserve the traditional premises of Malaysian batik motif yet have a contemporary look and feel to the motifs used for their mask design. Hence, it was decided that for the first edition of masks produced, the batik motif is based on flora commonly found in Malaysia yet not used in traditional Malaysian batiks such as the sunflower, stargazer lilies and jasmine flower.
