Explore contemporary art at the Bass Museum of Art

Bass Museum

Originally inaugurated in 1964 by the City of Miami, the Bass Museum of Art underwent a mammoth $12-million transformation in 2015; one that focused on putting the visitor experience first but maintaining the beauty of the original 1930s art deco structure. It is now at the forefront of Miami’s booming contemporary-art scene, priding itself on showcasing an expansive range of media and international artistic views. Current shows include a display of works by the Bazaar favourite Laure Prouvost – entitled ‘They are Waiting for You’ –which runs until 2 September. A solo show by Paola Pivi opens on 13 October.
