The Orion Space Hotel is now taking bookings for guests to stay from early 2022. The trip will involve a 12-day journey where you will soar 200 miles above the earth’s orbit and will be able to experience zero gravity.

Of course, this kind of trip will not come cheap. The experience will set guests back $9.5 million (about £6.7 million), however you will be able to pay in instalments if you put down a $80,000 (about £55,000) deposit now.

According to the website, the hotel is able to take six guests and two crew members on each trip, and offers luxurious accommodation in the form of “private suites for two, the most number of windows ever created for spaceflight, weightlessness, and the world’s only authentic astronaut experience”.

In addition to this, it will not just act as a hotel, but as a site for research and future planning.

“We will offer full charters to space agencies who are looking to achieve human spaceflight in orbit for a fraction of the cost – and only pay for what they use,” Frank Bunger, founder of Orion Span revealed on the website. “We will support zero gravity research, as well as in space manufacturing. We will later sell dedicated modules as the world’s first condominiums in space. Future Aurora owners can live in, visit, or sublease their space condo. This is an exciting frontier and Orion Span is proud to pave the way.”

If you are keen to live the astronaut dream, you can reserve your spot in the world’s first space hotel here.
