Owner and architect of The Kasturi, Hijjas Kasturi, had a vision in mind when structuring the resort before its launch in 2016. He made sure to minimize the architecture of the resort from touching the ground by elevating walkways and structures to conserve the natural habitat of the surrounding as much as possible. Small plants were saved from the inevitable clearing, while a majority of the resort’s construction was built around the forest’s trees. In further efforts to care for the environment, solar-assisted air conditioning are installed in the main building, while future plans to install more solar panels on the car park roof are due in the coming few years.
