The fierce battle between the reds and blues have finally come to an end today. Sweeping 276 electoral votes and 51 in the Senate, this is the first time since 1928 that the Republican party has hold majority seats in both houses and Donald Trump is set to be the next president of America.

As he took stage at New York’s Hilton hotel, Trump appeared humbled (a side the media has never seen since the start of race) and extended his thanks to Hilary and her family, stating that she “has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”

The next POTUS also received a call from her, where she applauded him on his victory and he in turn, “congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.” Subsequently, he has called for unity among all Americans to “reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring” in his speech.
Come this January 2017, the world will see Trump sworn in as the next president on the steps of Capitol.
