Top; and skirt, both from Khoon Hooi.

As a whimsical headband designer, spirited yogini, as well as business development manager and centre manager at the Kuching-based Green Heights Mall, Sereni Linggi splits her day between sun salutations at dawn to lunch meetings with retailers and playful design sketches in the evening. How does this iron lady do it? “Just wake up at five in the morning!” she jokes.

Since committing to the yoga way of life, Sereni has begun the journey of loving her body, practicing mindfulness, reciting positive mantras on the daily, and has even set up her own organic vegetable garden. Her Instagram profile (@cat_cova) itself is a testament to her beautiful soul and green ambitions. “The latest addition to my repertoire are neem trees. Besides acting as a cure for viruses and skin issues, it also benefits the environment by enriching the soil and cleaning the air,” she says proudly.

When her green fingers aren’t dipped in soil, Sereni can be seen doing inversions against the setting of white beach houses and azure seas at Cove 55, an intimate hideaway in Kuching, pushing boundaries and building her personal movement of #yogaeverywhere.

SERENI LINGGI, in BAZAAR December 2012 ‘Malaysia’s Most Stylish Women’: “It was such a special and memorable experience. I was five months pregnant with my first child, and had so much trouble putting on the pair of sample-sized shorts!”
