Celebrities took on a fashion extravagance during the recent Met Gala
Honouring the theme ‘Gilded Glamour,’ a concept that leaves plenty of room for interpretation and pulls inspiration from New York’s Gilded Age, when excess and grandiosity defined both the decades and the fashion.
Let’s take a look at some of the best-dressed celebrities at the recent Met Gala 2022.
Blake Lively
That’s it. Blake lively ATE this look and left no crumb. The Met Gala co-chair made an entrance wearing a Versace gown that was inspired by Manhattan’s exquisite architecture and crowned herself with a bejewelled sparkling tiara. However, she didn’t finish her walk there. She ended her poses after revealing a blue skirt making her 2 in 1 dress, the spectacle of the MET Gala. Year after year, The Shallows actress is seen to be among the best-dressed.
Gigi Hadid
We can safely say that this supermodel understood the assignment. Unveiling her Atelier Versace puffer coat that’s made of a deep jewel-toned burgundy silk Duchesse and a matching deep red corset suit, she literally matched the red carpet completely.
Lily Aldridge
Covered In 170,000 Crystals, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel didn’t come to play. We believe she knows some tricks on how to look her absolute best on the red carpet. She absolutely nailed it with the help of the designer of brand, Khaite. Keeping the audience in awe, she mesmerised the night with an exquisite-looking diamond embroidery dress with matching gloves and a beautiful headscarf.
Hailey Baldwin Bieber
Hailey Bieber is no stranger to the Met Gala, and this year, she offered something different. Honouring the dress code,’ Gilded Glamour,’ she incorporated minimalism into it. Donned in a Satin Saint Laurent dress with a white feather cape, the model carried elegance-yet-minimalist thanks to the feathers, see-through leggings, and diamond embellished heels.
Kaia Gerber
The supermodel didn’t forget to wow the public as how she did during her first Met Gala. She emerged in Alexander McQueen’s metallic look silver gown that was filled with glitter and sparkles. We love big curly hair, and nobody does it like Gerber. She accessorised her look with voluminous hair and black nail polish.
Lila Moss and Kate Moss
Lila made her debut at the Met Gala alongside her supermodel mother, Kate Moss. Lila opted for Burberry’s sheer see-through dress. The full-length dress cascaded down her body and towards the red carpet. While Kate featured another look from the same designer, clad in a full black dress topped with a diamond necklace, looking good and elegant as always.
