However, his recent announcement of retiring was a shocking revelation to all. Law Roach announces retirement
In the now-deleted Instagram post, Roach declared his retirement and said, “My cup is empty. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about clothes, I would do it for the rest of my life, but unfortunately, it’s not! The politics, the lies and the false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”
With the revelation that he was stepping back from the “politics” and “lies” of the fashion industry, many assumed there was a feud between him and Zendaya. This brings us back to the viral video of Roach and Zendaya attending Louis Vuitton’s recent Paris Fashion Week show on 6 March 2023. For context: we see Zendaya rushing to her front-row seat, and Roach is left confused as he figures out his seat as they exchange a few words.
This interaction between the two blew out of proportion, and it was believed that this incident was the sole reason for his abrupt retirement. However, Roach has addressed the rumours that he needed to step away to focus on himself and that his business relationship with the Hollywood star remains stronger.
According to his interview with Vogue, he expressed that he is not retiring from fashion entirely but only from celebrity styling.
From making a name for himself to dressing the biggest names in the industry, there’s no denying that Roach has left a massive mark in the industry. In fact, he went out with a bang.
