Adding to our guide of new series and movies to watch in August 2024 is ‘Jackpot!’. Starring Awkwafina and John Cena, the film follows Katie, who accidentally finds herself with a winning lottery ticket. Set in the future, this big win may have been a blessing, but in this world, it makes her a target in the Grand Lottery. This new contest allows others to seize the ticket and, in unique situations, “kill the winner” by sundown. When she meets Noel (John Cena), the jackpot protector goes the extra mile to protect Katie so that she can survive the day.
