Highlights from Dior Spring/Summer 2025

Favourite looks from the Dior Spring/Summer 2025 show.

Maria Grazia Chiuri conjures the modern Amazon for Dior’s Spring/Summer 2025 show. Pushing the boundaries of fashion, Chiuri aims to bring fashion “back to its origins” and emphasise the unique relationship between clothes and the human body, teetering the fine line “between intention and function”. Looking to the archives, Chiuri hones in on the iconic Amazone dress designed by Monsieur Dior in the 1950s and the fearless female warrior—a symbol of autonomous, courageous femininity.

The show opened to an archery performance by artist SAGG Napoli, followed closely by asymmetrical bodysuits, shirts, jackets and dresses that were draped and cut with precision to reveal bold traces of skin. Chiuri also delved into the world of athletics referencing the sporty youthful vibe from the ’60s and ’70s. Motocross jackets, parkas, straps and utility fasteners underscore this bold identity together with a modern interpretation of a logo designed by Marc Bohan. Meanwhile embellishments such as beaded fringes and glistening metallic mosaics as well as ombre tulle gowns embody a softer expression of femininity.

Art Installation by Sagg Napoli “With my Heart in One Hand and a Bow in the Other”.

For S/S ’25, Maria Grazia Chiuri enlists the vision of artist SAGG Napoli to create the installation at the show venue. Texts inscribed throughout the venue and installation send a message of resilience and courage with lines that read “Calm, courageous, consistent” and “May the building of a strong mind and a strong body be the greatest work I have ever made”. The installation was accompanied by a performance from the artist herself. At the heart of her performance, the bow and practice of archery lend an arresting focus to the show, bringing the connection between body, discipline and movement to life.

“To have patience means to trust a process and set intentions and goals, to move towards each one of them, slowly allowing the technical movements to sync with your muscles and your mind. When you miss the target, you have to understand why you missed (often it’s not only technical factors to do with your equipment, but instead can be your own body position and your mind), to learn to accept that things break and you don’t always have to fix them,” said SAGG Napoli in a statement.
