Let the Games begin!

The Winter Olympics 2026 is approaching fast, and Malaysia has every reason to feel excited. After all, Aruwin Salehhuddin will be representing the nation once again. At just 21, she’s returning to the Olympic stage after making history at Beijing 2022 as Malaysia’s first female Winter Olympian. Moreover, this time she’s competing at Milano Cortina 2026 with more experience and determination than ever before.

Meanwhile, Samsung is joining the celebration in its own sophisticated way.

Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition 2026

The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition Is Here to Capture Every Podium Moment at Milano Cortina 2026

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, that unfortunately will not be available to us mere mortals. Instead, the foldable is exclusively designed for athletes competing at Milano Cortina 2026. Meaning, nearly 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from approximately 90 countries will receive this special device. Furthermore, the edition comes in a signature blue colourway that reflects Italian azure whilst honouring Samsung’s identity.

And as you can see here, it’s a real beauty. That gold metal frame not only looks luxurious, it is aptly a symbol of athletic excellence whilst also representing Samsung’s commitment to quality. In addition, each device includes a clear magnetic case featuring blue circular magnets surrounded by gold laurel leaves.

Designed for the Olympic Journey

The Galaxy Z Flip7 isn’t merely about aesthetics. Instead, it combines practical features that support athletes throughout their Games experience. This includes a 50MP wide camera and 12MP ultra-wide lens, delivering flagship-level clarity. Consequently, athletes can capture medal moments with professional quality.

Naturally, Photo Assist brings studio-quality enhancements to images. Another nifty feature, the on-device Interpreter provides real-time translation, even in mountainous areas without network connection. It goes without saying, this proves particularly valuable during international competitions.

The Victory Selfie Evolution

Samsung introduced the Victory Selfie at Paris 2024, allowing athletes to capture podium moments from their own perspective. Now, the concept expands to Milano Cortina 2026. For the first time, team sport competitions will include Victory Selfie opportunities. Athletes can share achievements with teammates whilst instantly connecting with fans and families worldwide.

Additionally, Samsung introduces the Victory Profile. This new initiative features curated portraits captured on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Athletes from nine National Olympic Committees can showcase their personalities and passions beyond competition. The programme initially includes approximately 490 athletes from France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, and the US.

Practical Innovation

Beyond photography, the Olympic Edition includes essential apps and services. The Galaxy Athlete Card facilitates digital profile exchanges amongst athletes. Moreover, each device comes with 100GB 5G eSIM connectivity. Athletes also receive access to digital passes in Samsung Wallet, developed through partnerships with Olympic sponsors.

Galaxy Athlete Card helps athletes connect with one another and be part of a shared Olympic and Paralympic community.
