In their breath-taking debut collection for Loewe, creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez take inspiration from American painter and sculptor Ellsworth Kelly’s work; his oil on canvas painting, Yellow Panel with a Red Curve (1989), was hanging in the entrance of the runway show. The design duo infuses the painting’s “vibrancy and chromatic intensity” into their Spring/Summer 2026 creations, resulting in bold and bright garments and accessories. The craft-obsessed pair endeavour to highlight Loewe’s long 180-year history of working with Spanish leather artisans. Leather is manipulated effortlessly to further tactility; micro-shredded to resemble feathered fringes on trousers, weaved into threads to create sculpted shirts, and sculpted into leather jackets with unique silhouettes.

When looking at Loewe’s latest collection, one may feel the same feelings as when perusing Ellsworth Kelly’s artwork: optimism, curiosity and a desire to be in the present moment.

Film Rachunan

Embodying the vibrant personality of Loewe’s latest collection is Thai actress, Film Rachunan. She was invited for a preview of the collection in Singapore. The silver screen darling of 2gether (2020) and My Precious (2023) fame reveals that she could not look away from all the colourful pieces in the new collection, especially in the shoes and accessories. She is drawn particularly to the shades of yellow, which she describes as “bright and full of energy”.

She adds: “This collection really reflects the way I dress!”

In this interview with BAZAAR, Film Rachunan shares her three favourite pieces from Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Amazona 180 Bag

“This bag–I can use it everyday!” exclaims Rachunan. One of Loewe’s most famous bag silhouettes gets a refresh to celebrate the Spanish house’s 180-year anniversary. In this modern update, the Amazona bag takes on a more laid-back attitude, with a slouchy silhouette. As with the other pieces in this collection, there is an impressive functionality in this bag, by way of a fastened compartment to carry items safely and comfortably despite its open-faced shape.

One of the buzziest new pieces from Loewe’s new collection since it hit the runway, the Emily Aqua Booties hails the return of the “millennial ankle sock”. Whimsical yet practical, it will definitely bring a sense of adventure when stomping around the city this season.

Jacket in Nappa Lambskin

The silhouette of this jacket takes the rounded shape of traje de luces, traditional garb worn by Spanish bullfighters, and combines it with McCollough and Hernandez’s sportswear sensibilities. It is sculpted from leather, with just enough stiffness to maintain its curved structure without losing the required fluidity to be wearable.
