Curated by Malaysian artist Hamidi Hadi, “Tracing Stillness”, or in other words “Menjejak Hening”, when translated in Bahasa Melayu, marks the latest solo exhibition for the artist. A collection that celebrates his two-decade practice focuses on the physicality of rupture. Each canvas battles resistance, featuring torn edges and distressed surfaces that capture the memory of struggle. It’s also an invitation to embrace the pause and fractures rather than seek a quick resolution.
