Louis Vuitton’s Squire Bag: The East-West Silhouette is Here to Stay

The hype for the elongated bag silhouette is not dying down any time soon.

The Squire bag features in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer ’26 collection.

The Squire bag enters the chat as a serious contender in the competition for the most coveted east-west bag of the season. Louis Vuitton’s new bag pays tribute to the Alma bag, first introduced in 1934. The Alma’s emblematic curved shape with a double zip closure and gold-toned padlock can be found atop an elongated base, punctuated with two thin, extra-long shoulder straps.

Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram canvas, which celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2026, adorns the body of the Squire bag. Another version belongs to the Monogram Eden collection, with a vibrant floral pattern printed on a Monogram Dune canvas.
