Patcharavipa

Patcharavipa Bodiratnangkura first discovered gemstones and jewellery at a young age after having rummaged through her mother’s hidden safe, which sparked a lifelong obsession with all that glitters. Whilst finishing her degree at CSM, she presented and collaborated with Verney Paris and Adler Haute Joaillerie in Bangkok, which in your early twenties is no mean feat. Post-degree, Patcharavipa joined Cabinet de Curiosites de Thomas Erber, a global network of artisans who redefine luxury through design and exclusivity and presented a collection made of certified ivory which sold at the world famous concept store Colette in Paris.

Made by hand in her workshop in Bangkok, much attention is given to the texture and materials behind each piece of Patcharavipa jewellery and the end result is reminiscent of a family heirloom but with a touch of modernity. Clients have designed bespoke pieces over email and by appointment at her Bangkok showroom but come September 2016, two fine contemporary jewellery collections will be launched at Paris Fashion Week.

The inspiration behind Bea Bongiasca’s jewellery stems from her fascination with and travels around East Asia. Her jewellery incorporates oriental visual language and knowledge and modern pop culture and ‘western flair’, as exhibited in her collection ‘A Golden Lesson’ where each piece in the collection is designed around a Chinese Hanzi character and is chosen to cultivate interest in learning about a different culture and language in a light-hearted way (the character’s meaning in English is engraved on the inside of every piece). Lovingly designed and made by hand in Milan, her jewellery is available in various stores across Europe and Asia and online.
