Elizabeth Lee Yong: Paris

The stylish globetrotter lends a sophisticated eye on the City of Lights.

Travelling Must-Haves

I never travel without a classic white Armani dress, a cashmere overcoat, a classic black bag (in my case, my mother’s Kelly, which I took and never gave back!), sandals, and a light Chanel jacket.

AM-to-PM Dressing

It’s important to look at the weather. When it’s cold, layering is key—over-the-knee stomping boots, a Chanel cardigan layered with an oversized jacket. But when it’s warm, boots are tossed aside and replaced with a pair of Hermès heels, bright lipstick, and day-happy Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Style Icons

Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, and Emmanuelle Béart … French women have captivated the fashion imagination for decades with their chic je ne sais quoi.

French Faves

I love Diptyque’s body and hair wash, Annick Goutal’s Tenue de Soirée body cream, which smells divine, and Caudalie’s magical beauty elixir.

Favourite Dining Trail

If I only had one day in Paris, I would have breakfast at Hotel Plaza Athénée, lunch at L’Ami Louis for their amazing roast chicken and escargot, then afternoon tea at Le Plongeoir chez Hermès for its beautiful store within a renovated swimming pool. For dinner, Le Relais de l’Entrecôte has the best steak in town.
