Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly in talks to launch a new Netflix wellness show based around her divisive yet profitable brand, Goop. Although the deal is far from the final, a source told WWD that meetings between the businesswoman and the streaming platform are taking place.

In September last year, Paltrow confirmed that she was working with a production company to create a sales pitch for a potential TV series. She is rumoured to star in the show, which is thought to focus on wellness and homeopathic traditions in different cultures. The source said that the project was still very much in its infancy, and could end up more akin to the Goop podcast, of which Paltrow is heavily involved.

Were the TV series to come into fruition, it would be another media platform ticked off for Goop – in addition to its website, podcast, e-commerce and public health summits. In September, the company opened its first London pop-up store in Notting Hill.

Regardless of criticism of its more dubious health claims, Goop is growing, proving that there would be a market for a TV show. Its live wellness summits have sold out, as have its vitamin pill offering.

It’s been a big year for Paltrow – and not just professionally. In September, she married television producer Brad Falchuk in the Hamptons wearing a lace Valentino gown.
