See our favourite hair looks from the star-studded night!
The highly-anticipated 93rd Academy Awards took place yesterday, 25 April, and while its lead presenter, Regina King’s bad-ass, purposeful walk into Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre and slight trip on stage was entertaining to watch, there were no jokes, dances, or performances following her entrance. “It has been quite a year and we are still smack dab in the middle of it. We are mourning the loss of so many,” she says.
However, it was a still night of celebration where over 200 nominees united for the love of movies. How was it that so many of them were able to congregate in one place, you ask? Well according to Regina, each attendee had been tested, re-tested, and socially distanced, all while following rigorous protocols for the Oscars 2021 event
It was a visual feast of style and beauty inspiration for us all as each celebrity was dressed like a winner. Ahead, we’ve rounded our picks of hairstyles of the night.

Hairstylist Renato Campora created an exquisite work of art in the form of an old Hollywood-esque updo that’s inspired by 1920s American actress Marion Davies.
Zendaya
From the striking canary Valentino dress to her effortless waist-length beachy waves, Cher was the inspiration for Zendaya’s look from top to toe. Her hair was styled by hairstylist Law Roach.
Margot Robbie
What a vision! Celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett gave this Australian stunner a textured, low undone ponytail, complemented by wispy bangs framing the face.
