Set in Colonial Malaya during the Malayan Emergency, the story chronicles the lives of two women, Melur and Cempaka who are bound by love and friendship and marry the most different men. As tensions escalate, one of the couples is brutally murdered. Re-birthed as a supernatural deity, one of the women is thirsty and determined for revenge.
