The Nike Joyride NSW CC3 Setter
What makes this sneaker stand out is it’s latest innovation in cushioning platform. Debuted during Matthew Williams’ Spring/Summer ’20 ALYX show at Paris Fashion Week, the Nike Joyride NSW CC3 Setter is engineered to help keep legs powered by delivering a personalized underfoot experience with impact absorption. The beads are placed within zonally-tuned pods, which allows the foam to expand in all directions (called multi-dimensional displacement).
The system creates a dynamic footbed that forms to your foot and is personalized to you. The pod scale is based on how the foot strikes the ground when in motion. The heel pod is bigger to absorb impact and is prepared to facilitate a smooth transition forward.Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner taking a shake-out run or a novice looking to find your true stride, take these pair of Nike’s out for joyride.
Burberry Checks Out their Larkhall Canvas Sneakers
Burberry are putting their classic checkered print on canvas…shoes that is. It’s your classic sneaker – high rubber foxing andreinforced metal eyelets with the addition of a contrasting “BURBERRY” branding on the lateral side of the shoe. The shoes arrive in both a hi-top and low-top silhouette.
Prada’s Cloudbust Thunder
An evolution of the classic Prada Cloudbust sneakers comes the Cloudbust Thunder. First debuted as part of the Prada menswear Autumn/Winter ’19, it is characterised by a more complex structure with rubber lugs inserted in the iconic bubbles adding a three-dimensional thickness. A cross between something out of Transformers and Frankenstein, the Cloudbust Thunder is a true hybrid of refined sportswear and sci-fi flair.
Versace Squalo Sneaker
Presented during Versace’s Autumn/Winter ’19 show, the Versace Squalo sneaker’s eye-catching dual colored sole is intended to resemble a shark’s tooth – hence the name. Incorporating a wave design into its lines, it represents the movement and freedom sharks have in the ocean. The protective malleolus cushion is inspired by the shark’s eye, whose primary use is, in fact, to protect the animal from any external threat. It’s all in the details – the braille writing on the toe reads “Love”. The top stitch is used in an effort to both honor the codes and DNA of the brand while injecting subtle Versace visuals into the shoes.
