With the state borders finally open for us to freely roam and explore the beauty of our own country, the launch of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s new locally-assembled A-Class Sedan couldn’t have come at a better time. Coming in two variants – the Mercedes-Benz A 200 Progressive Line and the Mercedes-Benz A 250 AMG Line – these compact vehicles boast a sporty appearance that contrasts the traditional three-box sedan design while offering convenient features and a unique user experience. Allow us to share.

Marrying good looks with aero performance, the A-class sedan has the proportions of a dynamic and compact sedan car with short front and rear overhangs. On the inside, the interior is revolutionised with the avant-garde design of the dashboard. Its wing-shaped main body extends from one end of the door to the other without a break in between, highlighted by air vents in a sporty turbine design – offering visual pleasure to both the driver and passenger. Meanwhile, the black leather seats are comfortably supportive even as you’re going through undulations and bumps throughout your journey.

In terms of space, the sedan offers great utility that includes above-average shoulder, elbow and headroom, plus easy access to the rear. Enjoy family getaways without worrying about luggage room as the boot has a capacity of 420 litres with a very large opening width of 950 mm and a diagonal of 462 mm between the lock and lower edge of the rear window.

Taking the cars out on the open road will feel easy, effortless and very composed with the A 200 Progressive Line running on a 1.33-litre engine generating 163 horsepower, while the A 250 AMG Line on a 2.0-litre engine, generates a greater performance of 224 horsepower.
