Louis Vuitton unveils its “In My Bag” campaign, giving us a peek into the lives of these Ambassadors and Friends of the House: Jeremy Allen White, Jude Bellingham, Future, LeBron James, Jackson Wang and Victor Wembanyama.
The storied history of the iconic Speedy dates back to the 1930s. Through the watchful gaze and visionary mind of Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, the Speedy P9 was born. Named after Paris’ iconic Pont-Neuf—P for Pont (Bridge) and 9 for Neuf (new)—this reinterpretation harmonises the Maison’s rich travel heritage with an ode to exceptional savoir-faire. Elegantly crafted from premium calfskin, the intricate process of the silhouette goes through a double tanning process and drum-milling technique to achieve that divine buttery-soft, refined texture.
This season, the steady rise for a “What’s In My Bag” direction continues to soar. And this time, Louis Vuitton is acknowledging trends by unveiling its iteration by presenting its “In My Bag” campaign—only with the Speedy P9 taking centre stage. Photographed by Thomas Lagrange, each photograph captures the vibrancy of the Speedy P9 and gives us a peek into the lives of these cultural icons and everyday must-haves.
Inside Louis Vuitton’s “In My Bag” Campaign:
For our August 2024 cover star, Jackson Wang, he flaunts the pink Speedy P9 with class. For his travels and beyond, the leather companion is clasped with a pair of fuzzy dice and includes his headphones, fencing glove, music notation, a Rubik’s Cube, a mini sneaker and a Polaroid photo of his family.
For Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White, the Ambassador chose a green Speedy P9 with a copy of the daily newspaper, a spiral-bound notebook, a cap, a comb, a watch, dice, extra socks and a charging cord.
As for the sensational Jude Bellingham, he carries a vibrant red Speedy P9 brimming with his go-to essentials: a pair of aviators, a plane ticket, his jersey, a flacon of Louis Vuitton’s Ombre Nomade fragrance and a set of keys with personalised fobs.
The Grammy-winning music icon, Future, embraces his blue Speedy P9, which houses his tennis racquet, a diamond-set gold chain, a Monogram charm necklace, gummy candies and a pair of his favourite sneakers.
On the other hand, the legendary LeBron James reveals his sunny yellow Speedy P9, which features a capsule of essentials, including his golf balls and tees, grooming staples (like shaving cream), and his signature cap.
Last but not least, record-breaking basketball player Victor Wembanyama confidently displays his teal Speedy P9, complete with a Monogram alien charm, filled with a mini basketball, a deck of cards, a lucky spur and wired headphones.
A sense of attachment and connection to your favourite celebrities is elegantly portrayed in the “In My Bag” campaign, showcasing the lives and interests of these cultural icons through the craftsmanship and innovation of the Speedy P9.
