Breast cancer is a subject that receives insufficient attention. In fact, many people are unaware of the dangers it poses to someone’s life and the importance of early detection. Shangri-La has decided to make a difference and make an impact by launching some exciting promotions in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month as part of its ‘Power of Pink’ fundraising campaign to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).
Mark your calendars, because from October 1st to October 23rd, Shangri-La invites all to enjoy a fun pink-themed Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Spicy Prawn Salad, Pickle Kyuri with Beet Cornets, Cured Trout with Chive Crème Fraiche Brioche, Burrata and Grilled Heirloom Tomato Salad Eclairs, Vanilla Sable with Rose Lychee Raspberry Mousse, Red Velvet Cheese Bar, Matcha Cherry Financier, and more. Praline Boxes, Red Velvet Cup Cakes, Chocolate and Vanilla Macarons, Raspeberry Cherry Cake, Pull-Me-Up Cake, and Pink October Doughnuts are among the treats available. Prices range from RM25 to RM128nett. With each purchase of Pink October goodies, 5% of the proceeds will be donated to BCWA. This campaign sheds light to the team’s efforts to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer while emphasising the importance of early and regular detection via screenings. Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with BCWA, will also provide complimentary clinical Mobile Breast Examination to all guests on October 28th, 2022, from 1pm to 5pm in the Lower Lobby Foyer.
