With much anticipation, Timberland announced the first Future73 drop. In partnership with CLOT and its founder and creative director, Edison Chen. The Actor-turned-designer was inspired by Timberland since his teenage years. As a fan of hip-hop culture and fashion.
The Timberland x Edison Chen Future73 Collection brings the brand’s Timberloop circular design approach to the Timberland Premium 6-Inch Boot for the first time ever. In addition, the apparel capsule collection was inspired by CLOT’s “East Meets West” design ethos.

Designed with principles of circularity both in terms of material choices and construction methods, the whole collection is a shared commitment to eco-innovation adding a further dimension to the environment.
The 6-Inch Boot from Timberloop features soles that are stitched to the uppers. Allowing for easy disassembly at their facility and a potential second life for the product. This circular design philosophy is also present in their apparel pieces, which are made from 100% mono-fibre regenerative organic cotton. While featuring carefully selected trims that prioritize disassembly by removing hardware.

CLOT’s philosophy of bridging Eastern and Western cultures is exemplified in its incorporation of workwear and East Asian influences, such as kimono tailoring. The ‘grape leaf’ colourway, inspired by military uniforms, is a perfect example of this fusion, resulting in a wardrobe that is both functional and stylish – a perfect fit for the modern “urban ninja,” as described by Chen.
