UNIQLO Unveils RE.UNIQLO Studio at DA Square

Play your part towards a Sustainable Future. Repair, Reuse, and Recycling with Uniqlo…

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO continues to align its efforts of sustainability with the launch of its new RE.UNIQLO Studio at DA Square. Customers can now extend the life of their clothing by getting simple and practical on-site repairs for LifeWear items, giving their pre-loved goods a second lease of life while benefiting the local environment and community. Clothes repair services include replacing missing buttons, mending split seams, and patching torn pockets and loose hems, all at a nominal fee.

The new RE.UNIQLO Studio is the first of its kind in the country and is part of the RE.UNIQLO program, which contributes towards a circular economy through upcycling and the 3R’s: Repair, Reuse and Recycle.

To celebrate the studio launch, and to promote the 3R’s, UNIQLO is hosting a special workshop for customers to learn embroidery skills and take part in upcycling unused fabric into coasters. In partnership with Asfarena Group, a local social enterprise that empowers underprivileged women, the workshop teaches customers sewing techniques such as how to mend broken seams, sew on loose buttons and fix patches on pre-loved apparel.
