“My height and my skin colour is what differentiates me from a lot of others in the industry,” says Vanizha Vasantha Nathan, a professional model and Odissi dancer. “I’ve been told to put on weight because an Indian classical dancer shouldn’t be “too skinny”, but you choose who you want to be, and how you want to be.”
