Tiffany & Co. Unveils a new Masterpiece

Feast your eyes on Tiffany & Co.’s exclusive Bird on a Pearl capsule collection.

Tiffany & Co.’s most iconic jewellery, the Bird on a Rock Brooch, has been reimagined with the world’s rarest pearls. The iconic brooch was first created by Jean Schlumberger in 1965, and has since evolved into numerous exquisite creations. Part of the Bird on a Pearl collection, the brooch was revealed in Doha, Qatar. The signature bird, perched usually on a gemstone, is now set with natural baroque, button and near-round saltwater pearls.

The natural pearls were sourced in the Gulf region and acquired from Mr. Hussein Al Fardan’s private collection. Prized for their size, shape and unrivalled lustre, the pearls give the iconic design a feminine and sophisticated element. To commemorate the new creation, several rings, earrings and necklaces accompany the brooch to create a high jewellery Bird on a Pearl capsule that celebrates the beauty of these natural wonders.

To note, one of the most alluring pieces from the collection is a three-strand necklace of graduated natural saltwater white cream pearls of over 316 total carats. A nod to Jean Schlumberger’s gorgeous aesthetic and creative genius, six dainty birds give the necklace a whimsical charm. Elsewhere, the pendant earrings and rings are set with rare natural saltwater pearls in several enticing colours (dark gray, gray, light cream, light pinkish-brown and white).
