Emulating the youthful energy of fashion and cinema, Virginie Viard unveils a sporty and glamorous collection imbued with the everlasting allure of Hollywood. Here, colours reflect an optimistic outlook, brought together in undulating waves of graphic prints and vibrant hues that punctuate and tie the collection seamlessly. The first few looks called to mind sirens from the ’80s, dressed in refined swimsuits complete with leg warmers and sporty wedge shoes. Viard also touched on the easiness of the everyday including sophisticated jumpsuits, striking mini dresses, bustiers and shorts into the mix. Meanwhile, flowing evening dresses and sequinned jackets evoked the unflinching glamour and opulence of Hollywood.
“Between a tribute to the glamour of great film stars and evoking the world of fun to be had with aerobics, sports and roller skating, between the dream on one hand and what you want to wear on the other, it’s all a question of balance,” said Viard in a statement. “The idea is to offer a breath of fresh air, a voyage, a light-hearted and happy fantasy,” she concluded.
