The theme of next week's Met Gala is Comme des Garçons/Rei Kawakubo, which will be only the second time ever a living designer has been honoured at the event (the first being Yves Saint Laurent in 1983).
Kawakubo is known for pushing the boundaries on the catwalk and treading the line between high fashion and fine art, so we expect to see some of the most avant-garde red-carpet outfits of all time.
Want to know what to expect? We have rounded up 10 of the most 'out there' moments from the Comme des Garçons catwalk. We can't wait to see what the night will hold.
We’d be very surprised if more than a few guests don’t embrace a headpiece at this year’s gala. This particular one was shown on the spring/summer 2017 catwalk. Made of glass, some said they represented the idea of fragility.
